For the third year, CenterBridge Planning Group was a proud sponsor of the Make-A-Wish sixth annual Walk On The Wild Side fundraiser, held at The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango. The event took place on Friday, July 19th from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and a total of 333 people were in attendance. This exciting event is held in honor of the Heitkamp family, who are longtime supporters of Make-A-Wish.

Attendees enjoyed dollar games, raffles, goodie bags and entertainment from several vendors. The Wild offered an educational demonstration at the lion exhibit, which was a highlight of the evening. For dinner, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies, apples & drinks were served, courtesy of Tops Friendly Markets. This year’s featured Wish Kid, Angelina Facciolo from Oneida County, was present at the event. Angelina’s wish was for a barn-themed, wheelchair-accessible backyard playground. Her wish came true last year, thanks to Make-A-Wish.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event support the wishes of local children with critical illnesses, and a grand total of $37,700 was raised. To date, Make-A-Wish has granted over 334,000 wishes worldwide and more than 1,800 wishes in the Central New York chapter alone.
